Street photography in nyc - an exercise

The camera is an opportunity maker. If you have your camera in hand, there is always an opportunity to eternalize the magic enveloping in front of you, wherever you may be, and whatever you are doing. New York City — a city that keeps on giving — is full of random human magic forever exposing itself in front of you.

I do not consider myself specifically a street photographer, but when in New York, you have to be one. I used my walk home as a playground to see what I can get as discreetly — and sometimes not as discreetly— as possible. How do the masters of street photographers do it? What is my spin on it? That was my mission over a two day period, where I decided to primarily photograph in black and white.

What do I see in these photos? I see the nuanced expression of life’s iterations in people and their human creation. I see people having their own lives, their own decisions and their own realities far away from mine. I also see us very glued to our phones. What do you see?
